Values Conference

Values Conference is an event where NYI, NMI (Missions), and SDMI (Discipleship) come together to have their annual conventions.  During this event, we elect the various leaders of each auxiliary, but it's so much more!  It's also a time to equip leaders and volunteers from every local church to carry out the district values of worship, discipleship, leadership development, community connection, and multiplication.

NYI, specifically, utilizes this event to stay connected as a district family and to intentionally create opportunities for us to learn and grow together through various breakout sessions and time to just "hang out".

The theme this year is "Hope > Fear".  This was our theme last year when we were forced to cancel due to Covid-19.  How appropriate that this would still be our theme this year!

There will be a number of changes this year to the previous format, which will be conveyed as we get closer to the date of the event.  And though you have to be a delegate to vote, you don't need to be one to attend.  Everyone is encouraged to join in!

Plenary Session Topic:

Intergenerational Ministry For Today's Church

For the last several years, the phrase "intergenerational ministry" has been popular in many churches.  While technically it is not a new idea in the life of the Church, fleshing it out for today's context and culture might be new for many of us.  Leaning into the core strategies of NYI - evangelism, discipleship and leadership development - can help us implement intergenerational ministry in our local churches and our lives.

Breakout Sessions:

BE DO GO For Today’s Youth Groups & Students

Did you know there are Nazarene teens all over the world who are trying to figure life out just like you are?  Together we are NYI – Nazarene Youth International!  While NYI looks different all over the world, we all share a focus to BE, DO, GO.  But who are we to BE?  What are we to DO?  And where are we to GO?  We’ll explore how YOU can be a part of evangelism, discipleship and leadership development right where you are.
